Therapeutic Massage & Spa Treatments

With a wide range of services tailored to your preferences and schedule, massage affords you the physical benefit of a more relaxed body and the psychological benefit of a more balanced perspective.

πŸ™Œ Swedish Massage

Uses five styles of long, flowing strokes to massage. The five basic strokes are effleurage (light touch), petrissage (kneading), tapotement (rhythmic tapping), friction (compression), and vibration. Swedish massage has shown to be helpful in reducing pain, joint stiffness, and improving function in patients with osteoarthritis of the knee over a period of eight weeks. The development of Swedish massage is credited to Per Henrik Ling, though the Dutch practitioner Johan Georg Mezger adopted the French names to denote the basic strokes.

πŸ’ͺ Deep Tissue Massage

A type of massage therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is especially helpful for chronically tense and contracted areas such as stiff necks, low back tightness, and sore shoulders. Some of the same strokes are used as classic massage therapy, but the movement is slower and the pressure is deeper and concentrated on areas of tension and pain. Deep tissue massage works by physically breaking down adhesions to relieve pain and restore normal movement.

πŸͺ¨ Hot Stone Massage

A variation on classic massage therapy where heated, smooth, flat stones are placed on key points on the body. The massage therapist may also hold the stones and use them to massage certain areas of the body. The use of hot stones for healing dates back to ancient times, but it wasn't until Arizona massage therapist Mary Nelson introduced her hot stone massage technique, called LaStone Therapy, that the practice caught on. It is well suited for people who have muscle tension but prefer a lighter massage.

🀰 Prenatal Massage

Prenatal massage has been found to reduce stress, decrease swelling in the arms and legs, and relieve aches and pains in muscles and joints. It's a popular complementary therapy during pregnancy for back pain, when choices for pain relief β€” such as medication β€” are often limited. Not only can massage be physically beneficial, but the human touch can be comforting and provide emotional support during pregnancy. Massage therapy has been found to reduce anxiety and depression. Note: We do not recommend massage in the first trimester.

πŸͺ‘ Chair Massage

Most office-related physical symptoms can be attributed to loss of circulation. Tight muscles caused by stress and sitting behind a desk all day can impede blood and lymph flow, resulting in mental fogginess, decreased energy, and susceptibility to repetitive stress injuries like carpal tunnel syndrome. Chair massage counters the circulatory problems inherent with office work. Sitting in a massage chair opens up the back muscles, relieves strain on the neck, and provides a gentle respite for eyes usually glued to a computer monitor.

🫳 Shiatsu

The word shiatsu means "finger pressure" and is sometimes described as a finger pressure massage. Like acupuncture, shiatsu is based on the holistic system of traditional Chinese medicine, where illness is thought to result from imbalances in the natural flow of energy, or qi (pronounced "chee") through the body. Shiatsu therapists use finger and palm pressure on energetic pathways called meridians to improve the flow of qi. Scientifically, shiatsu calms an overactive sympathetic nervous system, which improves circulation, relieves stiff muscles, and alleviates stress.

Spa Treatments

Body Wraps & Specialty Services

Enhance your wellness journey with our luxurious spa treatments designed to detoxify, hydrate, and rejuvenate.

πŸ§– Body Wraps

A variety of spa treatments to suit your needs β€” choose your essential oil for a fully customized experience. Body wraps begin with exfoliation through dry brushing to remove dead skin cells, followed by your chosen product application. You're then wrapped for about 20 minutes to keep warm while enjoying a relaxing scalp massage before the product is removed and your body is fully hydrated.

🌿 Herbal Wraps

Therapeutic heat treatments that work by elevating the body's temperature, similar to other forms of detoxification. Herbal wraps are a wonderful way to promote healing and release toxins. If you have any reason to question whether an herbal wrap is right for you, we recommend consulting your healthcare provider before booking.

πŸ•―οΈ Paraffin Wraps

Rough, dry skin disappears with the improvement of your body's skin texture. A gentle body brushing prepares your skin for intensive hydration while you relax. A light massage with warm lotion is performed before paraffin is applied over your entire body. You are then wrapped in a thermal blanket to help the penetrating and hydrating effects of the paraffin wax.

πŸŽ€ Stomach Wraps

These wraps are extremely comfortable and targeted. The wrap is placed on your stomach and gently massaged into the skin, then left on β€” preferably overnight β€” for maximum benefit and results.

✨ Cellulite Treatments

Involves kneading the skin with a rolling suction device to boost circulation and stimulate collagen production. A targeted treatment designed to improve skin tone and texture in problem areas.

🌢️ Wasabi Mint Scrub

If you need a pick-me-up, this treatment is for you! We begin with an enlivening wasabi mint sugar scrub exfoliation, followed by a full body clay mask and a Rainbar finish. This invigorating treatment boosts circulation, enhances metabolism, and delivers an incredible energy boost.
